Memories of my gradeschool field trips, visits from out-of-town relatives, family parties, and holidays at home started rushing back, and thanks to him it was all preserved on film. Then, I started snooping through old photo albums and found class pictures along with some of my homework from grade school. I didn’t know I was in the 3rd grade with one of my best friends, Dave Choi. I wish I had a working scanner because his class picture is hilarious.

Unfortunately, I lost an entire day’s worth of shooting from yesterday because my SD card got corrupted while I was transferrring some photos today. Included were some sweet pics of:

  • A guy playing a guitar on top of a roof in Chicago
  • My buddy Jesse trying out some really expensive guitars at the Chicago Music Exchange
  • Friends killing each other on the XBox
  • Waiting on the sidewalk for a table at a Sushi restaurant
  • More 30″ exposures going north on I-94
  • Eating at Hop Haus

Blerg. I was only really attatched to the Chicago Music Exchange ones, so now I can’t wait to go back there sometime and take some more photos inside of that awesome store.

I need to buy some more flash memory and a hard drive to backup stuff on so I don’t lose all these personal photos. (Someday I am going to build a RAID 5 server. Made of flash-basd hard drives. And I’ll have some tape storage too.)

WTF? I just lost 40GB of music, 4 years worth of catalog’ed photos (at their highest quality, at least), and a handfull of TV shows and movies.

Sad times…

In other news, I am now looking to buy a desktop computer. This time I’ll be sure to buy an extra hard drive to back everything up on. Learn from my mistakes, kids. Even though those 0′s and 1′s may seem insignificant now… BACK UP ALL YOUR DATA!
