Sam, Sue, Lisa, and Bryan and I took a trip to Oak Park this afternoon to tour Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity House. It’s so awesome. I haven’t explored an intimate and visually exciting place like this in a very long time, so I had a doozy of a time. I decided to kick it old school and convert to black and white, something I haven’t done in a while and should probably try doing more often. I don’t think you’re missing much with color here anyway; Unity Temple has a very dull, earthy paint job that doesn’t really accentuate any of its amazing details. Enjoy!

Graduation Barbeque

June 20, 2010

The Kim household held a barbeque for daughter, Sue, that I attended tonight. My friends and I had a good time; The entertainment somehow devolved from a discussion of the anglo-saxon roots of the english language to talking about embarrassing stains to tossing a watermelon out of sheer amusement.

I downloaded a neat plugin for mouseovers on images in wordpress. MOUSE-OVER THESE PHOTOS!

In addition to helping illuminate our soccer juggling circle and attracting millions of bugs, Yoo Soo’s garage lights provided some interesting rim-lighting.

Man Deathmatch

May 31, 2010

The ritual of watching Ultimate Fighting Championship. I’m not really that into Mixed Martial Arts, but it’s still a good time sitting around with a few brewskis and broskis anyway.

Food Guys

May 23, 2010

Sam’s back in town so we decided to go to Hot Dougs in the city, but it ended up being closed until June. Then we decided to go to Kuma’s Corner but the wait was over an hour and Yoo Soo had to get back home by 5. Eventually we all ended up deciding to try Five Guys burgers and fries. They make a pretty good burger — I mean it’s not gourmet or anything, but still pretty good. And they have peanuts!

We went to Pequods in Morton Grove earlier this week but I forgot to bring my camera along. Good pizza, but Lou Malnati’s is still king of my pizza-clogged heart. Anyone that says Lou’s is not the best is a fool!
