May 23, 2010Sam’s back in town so we decided to go to Hot Dougs in the city, but it ended up being closed until June. Then we decided to go to Kuma’s Corner but the wait was over an hour and Yoo Soo had to get back home by 5. Eventually we all ended up deciding to try Five Guys burgers and fries. They make a pretty good burger — I mean it’s not gourmet or anything, but still pretty good. And they have peanuts!
We went to Pequods in Morton Grove earlier this week but I forgot to bring my camera along. Good pizza, but Lou Malnati’s is still king of my pizza-clogged heart. Anyone that says Lou’s is not the best is a fool!
Food Frenzy
April 12, 2010After going to a bridal shower that had awesome food, I went to a 81st birthday party that had REALLY awesome food. I haven’t been to a filipino party in the longest time, so it was cool to go back to my roots and the days when my parents used to have these kinds of parties for us at our home (they’re too old now, though). Anyway, we came two hours early (my mom forgot when the party started) so I got some nice shots of the food being prepped and untouched by the party guests.

March 27, 2010Johnny was in town and we ate a bunch of times, went to Chill, and watched Jurassic Park III (ugh). I awesomely got rid of the $1.81 left on my sandisk rebate card and it wasn’t awkward or weird at all.
Purple Picnic and Homeward Bound
September 4, 2009Monday: Part 13 of a 13-part series of photos documenting my trip to New York:
- JV’s parents held a family picnic the day after the wedding. Lots of good food, and luckily it was under some shade because boy was it HOT out!
- Tossed around the football for the first time in a while.
- Final cousin bonding time, said our goodbyes.
- Took off for Newark Airport, waited an hour or so for our departure time.
- I didn’t get a window seat on the plane, and my aisle was right next to the wing! Fail.
- Arrived at O’Hare, picked up our baggage, and took the blue line to my brother’s apartment, and from there home sweet Lincolnwood.
… and that was my trip to NJ/NYC. I had a blast and have been missing my family so much. Sorry for the layover between Parts 12 and 13, I moved back in at school and have had a lot of stuff on my plate lately getting into school mode. That and wordpress image uploader is acting weird. More posts coming soon, and some big news!
