Bridging Modern Art

June 26, 2010

After going to the beach on Thursday my friends and I took a trip to the Chicago Art Institute and finally got around to checking out the ‘new’ modern wing, but for only a little bit since we were getting tired and hungry after a long day. I think checking it out a whole lot more merits another visit. I love that place. Anyway, we exited via the bridge to Milennium Park, here are some photos from that part of the visit.

One day, I will build an actual working human Pong game. Until that day, I have this picture to dream about it.

Business Card

June 26, 2010

I finally got around to making a new business card, pretty much based around the design of my portfolio website.

I went to Kinkos to have a few printed just in case I need to hand some out, and before I get them printed for cheap online. The print guy messed up and it didn’t print in the right color space (I had the .psd file set to CMYK). And they didn’t center the back of the card correctly so the top white border is off-set from center. Other than that I think they’re alright and think my choice of photos for the back is just okay too. I have a feeling I’m going to get sick of the design pretty soon, but that means that I’ll end up having to update my website in addition to a new business card.

Jessi hired me to shoot his grad party for him last week. Let’s just say.. Ecuadorians know how to party! Congrats Jessi.

Graduation Barbeque

June 20, 2010

The Kim household held a barbeque for daughter, Sue, that I attended tonight. My friends and I had a good time; The entertainment somehow devolved from a discussion of the anglo-saxon roots of the english language to talking about embarrassing stains to tossing a watermelon out of sheer amusement.

I downloaded a neat plugin for mouseovers on images in wordpress. MOUSE-OVER THESE PHOTOS!

In addition to helping illuminate our soccer juggling circle and attracting millions of bugs, Yoo Soo’s garage lights provided some interesting rim-lighting.
