My niece got her toes done up with her fingernails matching. She came over to stay with my mom and I last Saturday, I think it was the first time she had nail polish put on. Doesn’t she look so excited?

November 27, 2009Took a trip downtown with the DIP crew again, this time Jeremy and Josh came along too, but I missed them because I missed my train and didn’t arrive till later in the afternoon. And I don’t blame them for leaving early — it was pretty cold, wet, and miserable downtown, so I left after a few hours as well.
No hood internet this time. Tripods are awesome.
Illini Basketball + Girl Talk
November 24, 2009It’s 2:30am and I’m bored so I whipped up a sweet indie-hip/hop-DJ-mashup slideshow of my photos from the basketball game against Presby College that I shot with Ned on Saturday. We didn’t have any on-air audio for an audio slideshow so I told Ned to just use techno music instead. He didn’t, so this is an idea of what I think should have made the DI website on Sunday morning. :-P The musical cues don’t work the whole time, and I sort of ran out of photos, but it’s fun and stupid so who cares…
Matt and Jenny Proposal
November 22, 2009Everyone’s getting married! Another one of the brothers from my fraternity, Matt (who graduated a little while back), came down from Chicago to propose to his girlfriend at the spot by an illiosk on the quad that they used to meet at after class. Scottie let me know about it the night before and thought that it would be a cool idea to creep on them through my lens like I did with Adam. However, we had no idea when they were coming or how they were going to be positioned. Nonetheless, it was still a really neat little moment to see from 50 yards away. I wish I had been creeping from a closer spot, and at a better angle, but such is life.
